I just discovered this thing and I have found friends that I have not seen since high school or even elementary school through it....do you use it?

its hilarious who finds you on it. I got a msg last night from my high school sweetheart who I haven't talked with in almost 10yrs.
Its a mix of weird and hilarious. Definitely worth it if you can handle your past catching up with you.

You'd be surprised. I've hooked up with folks that I didn't realize knew how to work a computer. Like, the kid from next door when I was 6-10 years old, back in New Brunswick, who I haven't heard from in almost 20 years. Turns out he lives in Victoria now and we've gone down similar paths with our lives - we're going for beers next week.

If you're running from your past, don't go on there. If you're not though, I've found probably four times as many old friends on Facebook than on MySpace. It's way easier to use, and most of those people I've never seen on Friendster, Tribe, MSN, Myspace, or any other social networking site. Crazy stuff.

so then how do you find people you know? I already added the people from my hotmail and it totaled three (but a lot of those addresses are outdated)

search their full name, check other friends' friends lists, search groups (ie your elementary school name), its easy!

I assume you can customize/build your own page the way you do with myspace or nex?

No, thank god. It's very simple, but incredibly well organized and laid out.

i actually like that people can't customize the crap out of their pages. it makes me feel better about my profile page because i have no idea how to do any of that and my page always ends up looking awful. its easier to navigate too!
